Facilities

  • Four Classrooms.

  • Multipurpose Hall with seating capacity for 200 people.

  • Library-cum-Reading Room, with a Seating Capacity for at least 25% students equipped with minimum 1000 titles and 3000 books including Text and
    Reference Books, Encyclopaedias, Year books, Electronic Publications like CD-ROMs, Journals, Educational Subscriptions to five related disciplines.

  • ICT Recourse Centre. There will be ICT facilities with Hardware and Software Infrastructures, including Computers, TV, Camera etc.

  • Teaching-Learning Resource Centres for Science and Mathematics. It will have multiple sets of Science Apparatus required to perform Experiments.

  • Psychology Resource Centre with apparatus for Simple Experiments related to Educational Psychology.

  • Art and Craft Resource Centre.

  • Health and Physical Education Resource Centre. Games and Sports Equipments for Common Indoor and Outdoor games will be available.

  • Science and Mathematics Resource Centre.

  • Principal’s Office.

  • Staff Room.

 

  Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates with at least forty ( 50%) percent marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and / or in the Master’s Degree or any other qualification equivalent there to, are eligible for admission to the programme.
  • The reservation in seats and relaxation in the qualifying marks in favour of the reserved categories shall be as per the rules of the concerned Government.

  Admission Procedure

Admission shall be made on Merit on the Basis of Marks obtained in the Qualifying Examination and I or in the Entrance Examination or any other Selection Process as per the Policy of the State Government I U. T. Administration and the University.

  Affiliation

The College is recognised by NCERT, New Delhi and affiliated to North Bengal University. All students will have to undergo the Education Programme as per norms registered by the both, to say, the NCTE and the NBU.


  Duration

B. Ed. Programme shall be of duration of two Academic Year or four Semesters. New Academic Session started from 2015-16 Session. (After permission from NCTE).
 

  Working Days

There shall be at least 400 working days for two years exclusive of the period of Examination and Admission, out of which at least 5 months shall be for practice teaching internship or skill development in nearby schools for two years course. The Institution shall work for a minimum of 36 hours in a week ( five or six days), during which physical presence in the Institution of all the Teachers and Student-Teachers is necessary to ensure their availability for individual advice, guidance, dialogues and consultation as and when required.
