History of Institution
Based on the fundamental conviction
that education can provide the answers to some of the
greatest challenges to 21 st century, Pragati College of
Education began its journey from 1st July, 2014. Brainchild
of Pragati Educare Foundation, this college is
Recognized by Eastern Regional
Committee National Council for Teacher Education (ERC-NCTE)
and affiliated to the West Bengal University Teachers’
Training Education Planning and Administration (WBUTTEPA) &
West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE)
.This premier institute shot to fame within a short span of
time while advancing in accomplishment of achieving the
agenda of UNESCO 'Education 2030'. The institute is located
in a strategic position, well connected and accessible to
all, in the lap of Himalayas. This college stands in the
educational hub area of Siliguri attracting students from
the hills, plains and the neighbouring SAARC countries.

Mission and Objectives
Mission of Pragati College of
Education is to strengthen the educational and knowledge
base for promoting education for peace and sustainable
